Playlin'sGuide
Anagramish is a daily word ladder puzzle where your mission is to connect a start word to an end word by changing one letter at a time, with letters allowed in any order.
You begin with a blue start word and an orange target word, both five letters long. Each step on your ladder must be a valid English word that differs from the previous word by exactly one letter. The twist? You can rearrange letters however you like, making this part word ladder, part anagram puzzle.
- Each step must be a valid 5-letter word.
- Change exactly one letter per step.
- Rearrange letters in any order (the anagram part).
- Connect the blue start word to the orange end word.
- Hard mode locks you into a four-word ladder where each row must use only letters from the start and end words, adding exactly one more end-word letter each time.
- Normal mode lets you reach for outside letters when you need a bridge.
Why we like it:
- β The anagram freedom makes it more creative than traditional word ladders.
- β Hard mode offers a real challenge without feeling unfair.
- β Short enough to solve in a few minutes, satisfying enough to share.
Hint: In hard mode, work backwards from the end word. Figure out which letters need swapping in, then find valid words that fit each transition. In normal mode, don't be afraid to detour through a completely unrelated word if it bridges the gap.
