Basketball5 Grid is a daily NBA puzzle where your mission is to complete a 3x3 grid by naming players who match both the row and column criteria.
Each square represents the intersection of two NBA teams. Your job is to identify a player who suited up for both franchises at some point in their career. For example, if the row shows Miami Heat and the column shows Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James would be a correct answer.
- The grid contains 9 squares to fill, one player per square.
- Each player must have played for both the team in their row and the team in their column.
- If a player fits multiple squares, you choose where to place them.
- If only one player fits a particular square, they'll be added automatically.
- Optional timers (90s, 60s, 40s) add pressure if you want it.
- A fresh grid drops every day, covering legends and modern players alike.
Why we like it:
- β Rewards deep NBA knowledge, especially of journeymen and trade histories.
- β The optional timer turns a relaxed puzzle into a genuine test of recall speed.
- β Every grid teaches you something new about player movement across franchises.
Hint: Start with the most restrictive squares first. Rare team combinations have fewer possible answers, so locking those in early gives you more flexibility with the crowded intersections.
