Extreme Quordle is a daily word puzzle that challenges you to solve four five-letter words at once using only 8 guesses and a dictionary of tougher, more unusual vocabulary.
It's the hardcore sibling of regular Quordle. You're working with four grids simultaneously, typing one guess that applies to all four boards at once. Each guess reveals which letters are correct, misplaced, or absent across all four words. The twist? You only get 8 tries instead of the standard 9, and the word list skews toward the obscure and tricky.
- Type a five-letter word. It populates across all four grids at once.
- Green letters are correct and in the right spot. Yellow letters are in the word but in the wrong position. Gray letters aren't in the word at all.
- You have 8 guesses to solve all four words.
- Words are more unusual and challenging than standard Quordle.
- A new puzzle drops every day.
Why we like it:
- β Eight guesses for four words is genuinely tight, forcing smarter letter hunting.
- β The unusual vocabulary keeps even seasoned players on their toes.
- β Solving all four within the limit feels like a real accomplishment.
Hint: Start with a solid two-guess opener that covers common vowels and consonants. Resist the urge to hyperfocus on one word early. Let the grids guide you toward which words need attention first, and save your riskier guesses for when you've narrowed the field.
