Pair Down

Pair Down is a daily word puzzle where your mission is to remove letters from words to reveal shorter words hiding inside.

Each round gives you a set of familiar words. Remove the right letter or letters from each one to make a new valid word. The twist: the letters you remove, read in order, also spell a real word.

Early rounds may ask you to remove one letter from each word. Later rounds raise the challenge by asking you to remove two letters or more.

For example, a word you already know might contain a completely different word once one letter disappears. Your job is to see both answers at once: the word that remains and the word formed by what you took away.
