Reunion is a daily word puzzle from Merriam-Webster where your mission is to unscramble a grid of letters by dragging them into place to form valid words in every row and column, all while reuniting a fox and hedgehog in as few moves as possible.
You start with a grid of jumbled letters and two animals blocking the works. Some letters are already green (locked in place), others are yellow (right row or column, wrong spot), and the rest are white (don't belong there at all). Drag letters around until every tile turns green and the critters find each other.
- Drag letters and animals to rearrange the grid.
- Green letters are correct. Yellow letters belong somewhere else in that row or column. White letters don't belong in that row or column at all.
- Words must be at least three letters long and appear in unbroken rows or columns.
- Animals can split a column into two separate words.
- When all letters are green, the fox and hedgehog will be adjacent (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally).
- Solve in fewer moves to earn more stars.
- Choose Classic mode for a gentler start, or Extreme for fewer green hints and tougher vocabulary.
Why we like it:
- β Built by Merriam-Webster, so the word list is rock solid.
- β The animal reunion twist adds a spatial puzzle layer beyond pure anagrams.
- β Star ratings give you a reason to replay and optimize your solve.
Hint: Start by placing yellow letters. They're already in the right row or column, so experimenting with them costs less risk than shuffling whites. And don't forget that moving one letter can flip yellows to white elsewhere, revealing new information about the grid.
