Playlin'sGuide
XRDICA is a daily word decoding puzzle where your mission is to crack a substitution cipher by figuring out which number maps to which letter across a grid of hidden words.
You start with a few rows of tiles, each showing a number. Those numbers are stand-ins for letters, and the same number always means the same letter everywhere in the grid. Your job is to decode the words one row at a time, using cross-referencing logic to unlock the full alphabet.
How it works:
- Click a tile, type a letter. Your guess appears above the number.
- Fill an entire row and hit GUESS (or Enter) to check your answer.
- Green tiles lock in correct letters across the whole grid. Red tiles mean you got something wrong, and they clear so you can try again.
- Solving one word gives you letters in all the others. If you guess a letter that only maps to one cipher in your row, it shows as a faint hint elsewhere.
- New rows unlock as your score climbs, up to a maximum of 10 rows total.
Scoring:
Lower is better. You earn one point per keypress or backspace, plus one point every five seconds. Each correct letter in a guess deducts a point, so accuracy pays off.
Why we like it:
- ✅The cipher logic is deeply satisfying once the breakthrough clicks.
- ✅Works your brain without dragging on forever.
- ✅Every puzzle teaches you to spot patterns in letter frequency and word structure.
Hint: Start with the most common number occurrences mapping to more common letters.
